Enact was established in the UK in 1996 by Adrian Wright in response to the Government´s new energy efficiency regulations using a £5,000 loan. It has grown to be a multi award-winning company that provides a wide range of services for local authorities, housing associations, fuel utilities, homeowners and housing related organisations.
In 1997 Enact was awarded just under £150,000 to set up the Heat Cornwall project, which has now developed into the multi million pound UK wide Heat Project.
The establishment of the Heat Project in 1998 has been a key element of our success. The Heat Project has become one of the UKs leading providers of grant assistance for ceiling and cavity wall insulation, enabling all home owners and private tenants in Britain to have insulation measures installed at affordable prices, or in some cases for free
In 1999 Enact won the highest accolade in the energy efficiency arena, the NHER Consultant of the Year and also secured the National Champion Green Apple award for Environmental Best Practice.
Throughout the company’s history Enact has helped many local authorities to improve energy efficiency in their districts and thereby reduce the effects of Climate Change. We look forward to achieving similar success in Australia and internationally.
